View Full Version : Too easy to get?

Anyone else feel that this game is practically giving the trophies away? Well ok, their bronze and whatnot, but you get a silver pretty soon and quite easily, and from the looks of it, apart from one gold (where you get the female character to save you less than 100 times) and the races, it looks all relatively simple.
I make this claim in comparison with, say, Super Stardust HD, where some of the bronze trophies are of a hardcore material. I think they should have a board that examines the trophies criterias and determines their standing: yea, like the ratings one, only for trophies!
I would also be interested to know if anyone else is having trouble with the Precious Time (think for one minute) and Sword Master (14 hit combo) trophies, the former because, no matter how long I leave him standing still, nothing happens, and the latter because the enemies always get pushed too close to the edge, resulting in either pushing off, or the struggle mini-game.

Precious time can be achieved by standing still and leaving the controller alone for a minute after beating the game. The 14-hit combo is quite difficult, actually. A friend told me that he used this to do it, but it hasn't worked for me. Maybe I'm just not holding my mouth right, but here it is: square, square, square, triangle, square, triangle, X, triangle, square, triangle, circle, X, triangle, circle. I hope that helps.

Thanks xdropshot, that was mui helpful indeed! I was starting to think that Precious Time necessitated a specific location, so thanks :)
Yea, the combo still eludes me...lol for once the hints-during-load-screen were actually useful, and made me realise that you need to have an acrobatics combo so you swap places with the enemy, otherwise its the edge again-ill try the combo you gave me and will report back, ta!
P.S. one assumes that there is no point in trying the combos on the Warrior, as he seems pretty immune from them. However on the other hand, is it possible to chain a super massive one since he moves very little during one?

Hey Xdropshot, mission successful-the 14-hit combo you gave me worked perfectly, thanks very much! Managed it on a soldier-bosses have a bad knack of deflecting the sword part and breaking the combo. I found that the timing for the first triangel after the first X, and also the one after the second X, were a bit trickier, as they need to be pressed faster than the other buttons in an otherwise slow-tempo combo.
On other news, Sinking to new Depths! or whatever its called, merely requires to, from where you teleport to the main temple, go round and to the right of it, go furthest down the little entrance you find, and bingo -lol find it hard to see how that is the lowest point, but hey...
...Precious Time can only apparently be achieved at the end of the game: no spoilers, just when you have Elika in your arms, leave the controller alone for a minute and voila.
Anyone know some hard-facts on the getting all combos trophy? I understand it entails performing every combo, but is that only the combos in the pause menu, or also combos outside of it?
